Your instructor, Cory, has over 26 years of experience as a Police Officer at both the local and state level. His expertise is based on experience. Fourteen of those years have been as a department firearms instructor.

 

He is a NRA Certified Pistol and Rifle Instructor, NRA Chief Range Safety Officer. Cory is certified by the Pennsylvania State Police as a Firearms Instructor. He is certified by the Pennsylvania Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Commission as "Municipal Police Instructor" and holds both certifications as general and special instructor with a focus on teaching firearms the Beaver County Police Academy. 

 

He also holds certifications from M.P.O.E.T.C.  as a "certified firearms instructor" and is authorized to conduct annual qualifications for active duty and retired law enforcement officers in the State of Pennsylvania. Cory also holds certifications from commercial training companies. He is a RANGEMASTER certified instructor and Patrol Rifle instructor from Patriot Training Group.
 

He has competed in organized competitive police shooting leagues. One of his unique attributes is his retail sales experience in the firearms industry. Not only does it provide him with valuable knowledge of firearms and firearms accessories, but it also helps him to stay up to date on new innovations and technologies in the firearm industry.  

 

He is a member of the Beaver Valley Rifle and Pistol Club, FOP Lodge 47, The Pennsylvania State Troopers Association, National Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors Association,  and the NRA.

Our NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting classes are brought to you by a team of NRA Certified Instructor volunteers. They come from many different backgrounds with a wide variety of experience, and are ready to share the benefits of that experience with you.

These classes are presented in the spirit of carrying on the 150 year tradition of teaching firearm safety and marksmanship to law abiding citizens, the NRA way.
