Our NRA First Steps Pistol Orientation class is brought to you by a team of NRA Certified Instructor volunteers. They come from many different backgrounds with a wide variety of experience, and are ready to share the benefits of that experience with you.
The class goal is to provide beginning / intermediate shooters with an introduction / review of the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to own and use a semi-automatic pistol safely.
After completion of the NRA First Steps Pistol Orientation, students will be able to:
-
Handle a firearm safely at all times, both on and off the range. This includes safely unloading and loading the firearm, safely shooting the firearm, and safely cleaning the firearm.
-
Know the fundamentals of aiming their firearm and be able to place 5 shots within a 9 inch diameter at a distance of 15 feet.
-
Make the necessary sight adjustments to "zero" their firearm.
These classes are presented in the spirit of carrying on the 150 year tradition of teaching firearm safety and marksmanship to law abiding citizens, the NRA way.
Firearms & ammo provided. You may bring your own semi-automatic firearm if you own one, and your own ammo.
- Cost for this class: $139 -
Tickets are transferrable,
but non-refundable
- Optional follow-up session will be available at a later date for $20 -
These one-hour sessions are very popular and are designed to reinforce the training you received and put you on a path to be an independent shooter!
